The new $440M del Lago casino will open in Rochester on Wednesday, which is 50 mile away from Seneca County where 1,000 residents waiting for new life.
The del Lago casino will feature a huge number of slot machines i.e. 2000 slot machines, 89 table games, many restaurants and food park for people visiting the place. There will be a 2,400-seat entertainment venue at the casino as well.
A Hotel of 205 rooms will be opened in Tyre later this year to fulfill people gathering. The casino will create 1,500 jobs out of which 100 employees are preparing for the opening of the casino.
The casino will be a joint-venture of Thomas C. Wilmot, the mogul of Rochester-area mall and Iowa-based JNB Gaming.
Casino developers hope that the new project will create jobs and bring revenue to the area. According to Thomas C. Wilmot, the casino is possible because of some people’s effort.
This is the second time when a new casino project like del lago is on the ground without any problem.
Another casino project was denied by these developers back in 15 years, when they thought that it might be a risky to develop a casino in this particular area because of some specific problems.
The del Lago casino will produce high end property tax and casino revenue for the state. The casino is also very helpful for Tyre town, which welcome new businesses and affordable housing.
Ronald McGreevy, the Supervisor of tyre town is very happy because of this new casino-property which is near the town.
McGreevy said that we desperately waiting for such an awesome project, it will help local economy a lot, and I’m very thankful to people who are involved with this property.
According to him, new jobs and more revenue will help the town to meet its challenges.
According to del Lago project details the casino will bring approx. $85 Million annually in taxes and fees to the state. Tyre town will also receive huge money in terms of tax and fees.
