Jonathan Aldridge, a cancer survivor has won the prestigious national lottery prize of £130,000 in the UK.
Jonathan was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma when he was just 17.
When asked about this achievement, Jonathan said that he hoped he was at the start of “a lucky phase”.
The lucky EuroMillions Dip tickets provided him a whooping £133,173.20 as winning amount.
Mr Aldridge was very happy after winning this jackpot amount and said that is his family has suffered a lot and had supported him. Now is the time that he can repay that support to the family with his winnings.
Mr Aldridge was living a typical teenage lifestyle before knowing that situation. He was thinking that he will not survive because of the illness but after 6 months of aggressive chemotherapy he was out of danger.
I tried to stay calm throughout the process and wanted to protect my mom from heartache, he said.
Mr Aldridge was not confirmed weather he would make it or not when doctors told him about the radiotherapy. But after 6 months of treatment doctors did not found any sign of cancer.
Mr Aldridge said that he would use this money to deposit for a house and would give the rest to Young Lives Versus Cancer charity. He also said that Magic does happen’ and shared the news to family members and relatives.
