Despite there were a lot of talks of legalizing online gaming in many states of the USA nothing happened. Most of the states didn’t pass any resolution regarding legalizing online casino in their territory or country.
Though states like Michigan and Pennsylvania did some series proactive work to legalize online casino/gaming in their territory but failed to implement it in 2016.
You know that states like New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada adopted online gaming back in 2013, but it is still a tough job for other states to make online gaming legal.
Now some media reports also stated that Donald Trump can make a federal online gambling ban in the country in the form of Restoration of America’s Wire Act (RAWA).
So, it becomes very interesting to see what exactly happens in this current year of 2017:-
States like Pennsylvania, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts and California are currently in negotiation to legalize online casino in their states.
Pennsylvania is one of the state looking to adopt online gaming. In 2016 the state’s house of representative passed a bill to legalize online casino, but state Senate didn’t allowed it, but the decision is in pipeline and if everything looks good, it may be passed this year.
Michigan is also looking to pass online gaming resolution. It tried in 2016, but couldn’t be able to succeed; now lawmakers of the state are eyeing to legalize online gaming in the state in 2017 (except online poker).
The state already offers lottery on internet and it is just a matter of time, when casino would be played on internet in the state territory.
New York Senate also passed a bill to legalize online gaming in the state, but another house or state assembly didn’t pass the bill and it is pipeline. The bill should be passed be 2017.
Massachusetts and California also on the way to legalize online gaming or online casino in their state and we can hope that they might pass their respective bills in this current year.
