The general Manager of Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady Mary Cheeks announced that the casino resort will be open for public on February 8, 2017.
It means the opening schedule of the casino is just three month away from now. Manager Cheeks was very happy while making the announcement to public.
Manager Cheeks threw the switch to the casino’s LED sign, and that would welcome players and visitors to the casino.
The property will include many things in it, even for non gamblers. The casino will have a day spa, hundreds of slot machines waiting for people on a spacious gaming floor, a house restaurant and a hotel as well.
Gary McCarthy, the mayor of Schenectady was also very happy that everything is getting on its schedule time and lots of development is currently underway. He said “we are at the top” now.
He also praised Galesi Group, who made the casino for doing it in a record time and hopes that casino will help to improve development in Schenectady.
David Buicko, the chief executive officer of the Galesi Group stated “it’s not about casino but it is all about making a regional asset.
We would be a place where people will come to enjoy, they would love to eat, gamble, sleep, and stay.
He confirmed that Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady is the largest development thing going on in Upstate New York.

The casino construction is underway on the old Alco plant location on Erie Boulevard. The $330 Million casino property will have 1,142 slot machines, 15 poker tables, 67 gaming tables and 165 room-hotels in it. The banquet facility area of the casino resort is about 10,000 square foot.
This is the largest mixed-use development currently underway in upstate New York for worth $480 million.
